Must I use the WD hitch?

I use just a ball when I take my 21ds from storage to home for maintenance and back. No problems. It's a little bouncy but manageable for a quick 5 miles. Definitely the WD on long trips.

The OP asked for opinions. You may not like the opinions of others. But don't imply that anybody is picking on the OP, just because you have a different opinion.

For me, if I'm in the driveway, and I try to leave without the bars in place, the bottom of the drawbar (or WDH head) would scrap hard for several feet once the rear wheels dropped into the street.

I always want my bars in place, even for the 5 mile trip to the yard. Honestly, this was the main reason I swapped to a power jack last year. Not it's hardly any effort.
