My Head Hurts

I hope ya'll can reconcile my recent weights:

On the way to our maiden outing last week , I weighed the rig three times:

a. Coupled with WD engaged.
b. Coupled with WD disengaged (trunnions in bed of TV)
c. Decoupled

the following are the results, what hurts my head is the TV is "lighter" with WD engaged and it reduces the tongue wt by an indicated 140 lbs...

Does this seem correct??

WDH transfers weight from rear axle to front axle AND trailer axles.

OK I understand now, the reason is the hitch is transferring weight to the TV which is as it should be. maybe I'm still missing something but this would seem normal to me.

So without the WDH , I tx 980 # from tongue to TV....that is normal to me also, but where I get really confused is when the WDH is engaged the TV weights less....\

the 980 lbs is reduced by 140 lbs....so if I take the numbers at face value and and coupled with the wheel measurements, this is what is happening:

the tongue wt is being reduced by 140 lbs (shifted to the TT Axles) and what is left on the rear axles of the TV is shifted to the front TV axles....

And if that is correct, the tongue wt is now only 840 lbs....is this the tongue wt value to use in the 10-15% target or should I use the 980....

I am confuse on how much wt in the front of the TT to shift aft in the TT....

My Head Hurts

There is still 980lbs of tongue weight, the WDH is reapplying some weight carried by your rear axle to the front and trailer axles.

Without having axle weights you can't know what you started with or how effective WD was, as far as TV front and rear, but somewhere near that 140# could have moved to TV front axle; lowering the front. So 980 - 280 = 700 added to rear axle (hitched WD on)... and ideally half to TV front like was moved to the axle(s).
