My new Tow Vehicle....went slightly bigger

I really didnt need to get something this big, but i was shopping for a new truck and figured why not. I love this truck!

Anyone with a 2011-14 on the fense about trading up to a 2016, dont be! It has sooo many improvements over the 2011 its almost funny. The ride, power, comfort, tech features, auto up and down windows (fianlly), hill start brake, and a so many more.

Im very happy with my new truck. Its a 2016 F450 Platinum.

Wow...nice. If you're gonna jump, might as well jump high. That's a nice truck there. Enjoy it, and keep us informed on how well it does for you.

Thats actuallly kind of funny because in order to keep this truck in the light duty catigory it needed to have a gvwr of 14k or less. Because this truck has a cwr greater than the F350, Ford had to claim that the payload capacity was slightly less...make sense? Maximum payload is shown at 4779lbs, but Ford claims its really closer to 7200lbs. Towing is rated at 31,200lbs.

Well at least the post didn't start out"what should I buy" You did your homework and bought what towing is all about. Beautiful truck.

Drw definitely give you a more planted feel. You do have to pay far more attention when turning and parking, but its all reliative. Great trucks though, whichever you decide on,

IronCobra That's a really nice truck. You are right about the difference in the old to newer trucks. I'm a Ram man myself. I went from a 98.5 3500 DRW quad cab long bed 5.9 24 valve diesel to a 2014 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty DRW Mega Cab Short Bed 6.7 L Cummins Aisin. the difference in the two trucks is like night and day I do love the new truck. I notice you live in Corpus Christi, Texas I will be down there next month to see my son. Would nice to meet you face to face. Have you lived there long?
