My new truck!

I can't wait until the spring when I can go and get the Roo out of storage. Picked up my new truck the day after putting away the Roo. Thought about waiting to do the storage until after I picked up the truck. But most people say don't pull anything for the first 500 miles to let the transmission and engine get broke in properly. I'ts going to be a long wait until spring!

Congrats! Gotta love those towing mirrors. I love mine. My book says 1000 miles but I have a Ford. Maybe they have different recommendations. I remember not being able to burn those miles fast enough so I could try it out.

Thanks! Really enjoying the power fold feature when out and about. If I have troubles after parking the truck making my way to the sidewalk, I can use the key fob to fold them in. And the cargo lights that are mounted on them are super bright. They'll be a big help when backing up the trailer at night.

I know what you mean. They didn't have power folding mirrors on the f150 in 2012. That's the feature I wish I had the most. I'd trade cruise control for it.

I get more people asking about the color than I've ever had with any other vehicle. At night, you'd swear it is black. On a sunny day, the Netflix green just pops out at you. I'm very happy too with how the front windows came out. A local tint shop matched the back windows perfectly.

Best part about the truck is that I travelled to Flint, MI to watch the entire assembly of the truck. An awesome experience...

Beautiful truck. I love the color! You are correct, chevy recommends 500 miles before towing. They also recommend keeping to 50mph or below for the first 500 miles..... toughest two weeks ever for me. You will love towing with it, so much so that you are gonna want to tow something a little more challenging soon.

I do agree, I've got way more towing capacity than I do trailer at this point. But honestly, we really love our hybrid. It's just the 4 of us so each kid gets a queen bed to themselves unless they bring a friend. Enjoy being able to unzip the windows and have tons of fresh air blowing through the trailer.

My last truck was still a 2500HD but it was a gasser. We took our last trailer, a much smaller 19' Starcraft Hybrid with only 2 bunks and no slide, out to Mt. Rushmore. I thought I had a hole in the tank as I was only getting 6 MPG. This truck should do much better!

My 2500HD gasser gets 8 to 12 at best mpg towing a 8500 lbs Lacrosse.

Mt. Rushmore is a great trip to take. Did that trip several years ago.

Those GM 6.0 gassers are fuel hogs...back when I had an '09 Sierra, best I got towing a loaded 9500lb TT was 7-8mpg doing 60mph, hand calculated. If you get 10 mpg or better...you're probably recording fuel mileage traveling downhill only
