I know you are in Sask. How many hours drive to Thunder Bay? Might you get a better price there? Seems like many on this forum are willing to travel halfway across the country for a new RV. Why not for a truck? BTW It's an additional 16 hours from Thunder Bay to Toronto....

Used vs New = warranty..... worth a few bucks.

A bit of a hike for sure to TB. Did you check in Winnipeg?

Here's the thing. We all get to pay Freight..... My car is an Equinox. They are built in Ingersoll. Just a few miles from where I bought mine. I still got to pay freight. Apparently if they decide freight on a given vehicle is $3,000 then it's that much everywhere or at least in a region. So they really can't charge you a whole bunch more based on that. Now could be that Western Canada pays one number and Central Canada another. I can't say that for sure. Anyone know?

Buy brand new.
I'd be leary of an Ecoboost getting traded in with so few miles. Most people adore them to no end.

"Only problem is not max tow/payload or even a brake controller in it as it is now."
Would that suit your needs?

The one hubby picked up yesterday started out with no towing package, plain AM.FM radio etc. Just basic bumper ball and 4 pin.

Our dealer changed everything we wanted. Added the Class III hitch and 7 pin wiring. Swapped out the regular mirrors for towing mirrors, added the review camera on mirror, swapped out the Am/Fm for one with CD, oh yeah and the brake controller too. Make sure you get the right axle ratio. Ours is 3.15 so towing max is 8,600 lb on the SuperCab. That will do us. My dad has the supercrew cab but different axle and can tow 11,300 lb.

If you didn't already pick up the DVD they have on EcoBoost and a Brochure. Lots of technical info in the last two pages.

Our dealer changed everything we wanted

how much did all that add compared to the price of one that actually had all that to begin with? did they "give" you all that stuff at the option price from the manufacturer or at the dealer price.

Dealer cost or thereabouts. Ours is a 2012 that are getting in short supply. The dealer had the base unit on the lot. Adding all the options brought the price up maybe $5,000. Would have to look at the invoice. Oh and we also have canoe carrier racks in that price. Won't install those till spring.
