Coops1 - OW! lol Found cheap ones in winnipeg but they all no option ones

Dwaynerz - prices he did out was the MSRP on the sticker with all the options priced as they came from the plant.

only option i dont really care for is the XTR package. only useful thing in it is power heated mirrors lol.

Anyhow the soon to be new wifey and I are off to the local dealer to see if he does better. If so, Ill be calling regina and letting them down lol

I have one of the 2011 Ecoboost with Max tow and it is great but I would trade it in a heartbeat for a 12 or 13. The 2011's did not have the Max GVW package, 6 1/2 foot bed or 36 gallon fuel tank. I believe that is the main reason you see them traded in early. There were also a few people who had engine problems with the early engines but you should be able to get a ford dealer to call up the truck's service history on their computers if you are leary of that. I'm towing a 35 foot trailer at about 9000 pounds loaded and have plenty of power and decent mileage.

ecoboost

What are you going to be towing? We have a 829fks front kitchen Flagstaff and my 2011 F150 supercrew 5.0l, 3.73 gears tows it just fine. We have towed it over10,000 miles through all kinds of terraine. We toured the canadian maritimes, the great lakes, the hills of W Va and Pa. with no problems at all.. %.o is a nice motor with fuel economy very close to the 3.5 ecoboost.

I would ask to see the service history just to be sure. It should be on the Ford system. There were a very few people with issues with some Ecoboosts. But to be fair, there are hundreds of thousands of them out there. The fact that it is at a Ford dealership (vs competitive) would make me a little more comfortable.

I think part of the issue with your '07 is the regular cab. Dealers don't want them as the demand for regular cabs is very low; takes a special buyer.

Our Ecoboost has 16M miles on it now and has been flawless. Tows like a beast. We have about 4M miles of towing. I got 19 to 20 mpg empty all summer. We got 11 mpg towing a 5,500 lb RV trailer at 60 mph over a 3,000 mile trip. The biggest benefit to this drivetrain is the low rpm torque. It is truly like a small displacement diesel.

The price you are getting on the '11 is about $10,000 less than new. I'd say drive it. Ask for a day with it. Work it and make sure everything seems normal. Good luck!

I got the 2012.

Dealer gave me a heck of a deal + deal on the pre paid maintenance/oil change package.

I have full bumper to bumper warranty for 5 years now. The truck had SIX kilometers on it when I drove it from the row up to the door! Dealer cleaned it up, washed the truck and fueled it right up! GF approved but not keen on the colour of it. I think it's okay, It's a stealth paint job lol.

Anyhow, here she is. now has 50kms on it!! (and weighs 2900~KG lol)

Awesome! Congratulations. My husband says I like to help others spend their money.

Is it a real dark green or "Tuxedo Black" like ours? Gonna look real nice pulling that trailer you have. Post pics of them both when you can.

Enjoy!

Probably gonna haul the parents toy hauler and the 17'er with it. better to have more truck then trailer.

Sweet. Love the color as well. That Ford Premimum Care warranty is awesome, I have it on the 09 Escape and the Super Duty and would never have another veh without it.

Drove to Regina and back today. 585KM (363 Miles) on it now. Averaging about 18.7 MPG or 12.5 L/100km. Not bad considering it is barely broken in.

That is cruising at about 105km/hr and unsure of wind because this truck HAULS! passing was zoom zoom!! I thought the 4.6 was zippy! wow!

Also i catch myself looking for the EcoBoost badge on all the newest gen ford trucks lol!!!

also doing some youtube videos on it. yeah amateur stuff but meh, I love the truck!

Ouch! I was hoping to put an Ecoboost in the driveway in a year or two, but if that's the going rate here in the YYC, I think I'll look around first!

Tell me that's the sticker price on a fully loaded Platinum F150 EB! Surely with the discounts Ford has had lately a guy could do a lot better than that around here after hagglin. (I hope...)

We just got 2012 dodge 1500 hemi with tow package. Express package. 10,000 lb tow. MSRP 37000 we got it for 28000. Pulls a lot better than our 07 ford f150. Ford had 70000 on it and the cam sensor went bad and need a new motor. Just out of warranty ford knows this is a problem and won't fix it. No longer a ford fan.

Actually, if you're getting 12.5L/100km, that works out to almost 23 MPG. The 18.7 MPG that truck calculates would be miles per US gallon.

I got 20+ (U.S.) all summer with mine. You will love this truck. Mileage does suffer in the winter though. Engine needs to heat up. Tranny torque converter will not lock until it hits 105 degrees. Colder lubricants.

But it's an awesome combination of economy and torque when you need it.

Most of these guys sticker in the upper 30's to mid 40. Like anything, it depends on how you equip them.

Enjoy your new truck man!

I just traded my 2012 Ecoboost Screw at CMP in Calgary for a 2012 GMC Duramax if your looking for a good used truck. I haven't taken it in yet as they are going through it [GMC] as it was just brought in. The Ecoboost wouldn't be able to pull the 5th wheel we are looking at [ Columbus 320 RS] so the reason for the trade. The F150 should be there tomorrow though. It is a Lariat with pretty much a full load including nav and leather
