Try Bilstein HD shocks. I just replaced all the oem on my 2010 f150 4x4 and have been very pleased. My ride is actually much better over bumpy roads and night and day difference towing my 8300 lb trailer. You will pay slightly more for these premium shocks but I have not had any regrets and my wife says I am a research addicted fanatic. I have 20 inch wheels.

Are you running "P" tire or LT's?

If P dump them and gat a set of LT's to your liking.

Coil springs in the back?

On our 1500 Silverado, Rancho 5000 shocks and Goodyear Wrangler's w/Kevlar made all the difference when towing our toy hauler.

Attended an automotive seminar once and learned that OEM shocks have a life expectancy of 50,000 miles and should be replaced. This was from a representative of KYB which make OEM shocks for the majority of US manufacturers (of course each manufacturer has their own label but, are most likely made by KYB). When I learned this, I replaced the shocks on my (then 2002 Chev. Silverado 1500HD 4X4) with Gabriel Ultra's from Auto Zone and WOW.......what a difference in the ride and handling I noticed immediately (with and without the TT).

Just my $.02

P.S. I plan on doing the same on my Cummins soon because I've noticed excessive bounce when the 5'er is loaded.

Think GM did away with coil springs on pickups in 62 model year. 63's had leaf springs IIRC.

I think you're off by a decade. Pretty sure they had coils in early 70's and I know my '66 had coils.

Should have been more specific, they discontinued them in 63 came back in 67 and dropped them entirely in 72. There are kits for 63 -87 to go back to coil/trailing arm suspension. Why anyone would want to go that way unless just for ride and show.

You're still wrong. I had them on my '66 Chevy with step sides, 250ci straight six and 3 speed with a creeper.

Ok, I guess the C10,20 had coils and didn't the K10,20 had the leaf springs? I know Chevy didn't have them all that long.

Shocks could help, but how many miles and what is the load. However, bouncing is usually attributed to bad shocks.

My 2015 Silverado Z71 came with Ranchos shocks and Goodyear SR-A (POS TIRE) but I complained to GM corporate that the Z71 was advertised with All-Terrain tires and SR-A are not AT tires. Darn if GM didn't agree and have the dealer install a set of Goodyear Wrangler AT Kevlars and what a difference in the ride. (And what a difference in the traction too!)

Porpoising is causes by the WDH being too weak for the weight of the the trailer. It is similar to bounce. If you are not getting bounce with out the trailer installed then it could be caused by a WDH being too weak causing the TV to bounce. It will act just like a porpoise swimming thus the term porpoising.

is this empty? if so they make a bushing to replace the rear oem leaf spring bushing.Made for trucks because they are so light in the back they bounce to much. check with your local tire/alignment shop. used to be called soft ride or something like that. my 2c on Ranchos/KYBs/Bilsteins they are way to harsh if you have no load. Newer trucks are made to have a better ride. if you like the harsh ride then it is ok to get a stiff shock. Someone mentioned. Monroe Sensatrack and they may give you a better all around ride. Again check.with the local tire shop or 4x4 accessory shop.
