Ok, I'm going for the 2500 cummins diesel, which model is best for getting the tow pkg like mirrors, tow brake, exhaust brake etc? I don't need leather seats, I want 4 doors but it doesn't have to be the big 4 door, short bed is fine. Which model is best for me?

If going with the 2500 I believe no matter what trim level you go with it should be ready to go. Other than the tow mirrors you should be good. I have not seen a 2500 on a lot without the mirrors now that I think of it. It's all about personal preference as the trim packages all have some creature comforts you might like or consider a need. Good luck with your search. If you have defined power plant, your work is 90%done.

nice truck!!! it would be great to hear a comparison between your old truck and new truck. once you have had it for a bit and have pulled the trailer with it.

Just curious when you have the 5th wheel hitch mounted in the back of the truck, is plate/hitch low enough to have one of those flat bed covers? when your not using the hitch you can cover it up and lock any storage items like your generator.

When I had a 5er I was ale to use a the soft cover over the bed of the truck as long as I rotated the handle that pulls the lock for the 5er hitch. Later RJD

On mine the hitch is about 3/4 of an inch to high.. I have a large piece of rubber roofing material that I put over the hitch when not pulling..

I'm hoping that a truck bed has room for a generator along side the 5th wheel hitch?
Does anybody carry a generator in the bed with the 5th wheel hitch?

I have the SLT, it has all the items mentioned plus a few perks. The tradesmen is nice, that is the one I was looking at for 2015 when I was thinking about upgrading.
