I got off pretty cheap considering what it could have cost. Despite everything, no regrets with the Cummins diesel engine. No gas engine pulls like a diesel

The only gas engine that even comes close is Ford's Ecoboost. Beats the crap out of the V8 gas engines and has a flat torque curve from 1500 rpm's to 5,000 rpm's. This thing pulls much like a diesel.

Where did you get that piece of misinformation? I know 5 people other than myself that have the ecoboost and none of us have ever had a problem with the engine. Mine has never even been in the shop other than normal oil change and tire rotations. 120,500 miles with NO problems.

32,700 on a 2013 and my Mom has over 80K on her 2011 with nothing but oil changes. I can google any engine produced and find talk of problems. And in order for a poll to be useful at all, everyone in the population (all Ecoboost owners) would have to have to be equally likely to be polled. Polling on forums where people tend to go when they have an issue would have almost no meaning. It would be like standing outside a Dunkin Donuts and asking how many people like donuts.

I was simply going for a joke to poke the Loyal Oil Burner/Eco guys. Meant no harm But Just for fun, i just did a quick search on Google and it returned a good bit of info on "Ford Ecoboost 3.5 failure".
