Thanks for the info on the fuel cap! I will order one now. Incidentally I tried the truck in various driving conditions with and without a load! No problem, like nothing ever happened. My insurance adjuster was awsome!

It fits!!!! Barely. With the storms on the way, first test with two vehicles in the garage. Need to make some adjustments...still not used to the mirrors. Click image for larger version

Its a Hybrid of Snap on and Matco! I turned a wrench for a few years in my younger days.

I do!!

I will still stand by my " gas over diesel"...

Under certain circumstances.
I will never own a diesel out of warranty.
When I bought the Ford, the options were it, or a diesel, 5 years older and at least 100k more on the odometer.

New=oil burner
Used= gas.

Repair bills are just too high on a used diesel.

Well.....I think I found one of the drawbacks of going with the gas engine in a 7300# truck. Traveled across the state to KC for work and if you live in the Midwest you know that today was particularly windy. Burned nearly a full tank and avg according to the dash 12.3 mpg. Have not filled up to get the hand calc numbers. Granted there were constant 35-45 mph head winds but traveling 75mph really sucks the gas down. Upside...the heavier truck really didn't feel the wind compared to my 1/2 ton when empty. Also, filled up before I left for less than 45 bucks.

If you had been traveling the other direction you could have probably gotten over 20. You could have then used that number as the official fuel mileage for your truck and just never check it again. Then you could be the guy on the forums talking about how great his mileage is while everyone else told him how full of crap he is.
