Believe me, If all operating costs were the same as well as the purchase price, CTD all the way. But for me, It's just not the best move.

Not there yet just offered....Typical Dealer BS on the trade and such. Completely prepared to bow out if the deal does not fit within my budget. Always another one somewhere else.

Yea I looked in to that as well in making my decision. Ram/SRT used Pennzoil as the brand for the testing for these engines. It appears that they were the only company to meet/help develop the spec's then... possibly there are now others. I can See how these partnerships with the Oil company and Mfgr's are good for both party's. Case of 6 Quarts is 56.00 on amazon. Not too much more than what I fill my current Hemi With.

I interested in the 2015 Ram Big Horn 1500 EoDiesel for about $40K MSRP or the 2015 RAM 2500 big Cummins Diesel for around $50k.
This would be pulling my #7500lbs trailer GVW around 10,000lbs. I wonbder if the 1500 can pull it with the small diesel? I don't plan on upgrading to a heavier TT later.

I currently have essentially the same truck as you minus the eco. You will be happy with the 2500 no matter what engine while towing. Its a more stable platform. Your payload numbers on the 1500 are the issue. Assume 8-900# for the Trailer Tounge, Weight of the Hitch Your gear and ocupants. You will be over the 1350-1400lb payload fast. I am always overloaded on payload numbers with the 1500 and pull less weight than you. The current 5.7 in my 1500 handles most everything i can throw at it. Its the truck not the mill that is the issue.
