new 274dbh

Just got our new 274dbh. traded our grey wolf 26bh. The 274dbh is 2ft longer and has a slide little worried my 2013 Ford F150 stx may not like the extra weight. Did I make a mistake to upgrade will it be to much for my truck. the trailer gvwr 7900. I believe my truck towing cap is 6000. but the shipping weight of the trailer is 6200

Its got the 5.0l v8 ffv engine

Keep in mind, the tongue weight is 1,000 lbs. You will definitely know it is back there. I tow mine with a Ram 2500 and it handles it very well. That being said, I would not be afraid to tow it with a 1/2 ton truck. It tows well, no problems with sway. I would definitely use an equalizer hitch with it.

I do have a distribution hitch I have only pulled it one time that was from the dealer home. did feel ok back there
