15k is plenty for the 295 unit. If you see yourself going bigger in fitter opt for the 20k. Never can have too much hitch!

I recently got the Curt Q20 for our 32ft Coachmen. Very solid unit. This a not a place you want to skimp on.

Get the 20k. I have a 16k sitting on the shelf. Upgraded after the first season. A much better all around hitch.

When shopping for a hitch I looked at the Curt 16K and the salesman said they had a special going on and I could get the 20K for the same price. Well why not I said, bigger is better and it is one heavy duty hitch; but dang is it heavy, even when you take the head off. Had to put a lifting eye in the garage overhead and use a two ton come-along to lift it out of the truck. Anybody wanna trade??

As everyone has said before you can't go wrong with getting the 20k hitch if you ever get a bigger rig you will have to upgrade the hitch why spend the money twice

New 5er hitch

Is your Ford a short or long bed? What is your budget? If it's short, you most likely will need a slider. My dad uses a sidewinder and likes it, my Father in Law has a super glide. My 1T Dually has a long bed and I opted for the B&W turnover ball gooseneck and the 20K B&W Companion hitch. Benefit is the 5er hitch drops into the gooseneck hole, (rated at 30K) and gets locked in and torqued down. When not pulling, I easily pull it out and have a full open bed. Just my 10 cents.
