New Air Lift bags on!!

Instructions said 2hrs.....I did it 1.5 (damn I'm good) Got them from Autozone.com, they were $239....$250w/tax, free shipping but I got a $30 autozone gift card for spending more than $200. Here's how the truck sits @50 psi, before the bags my truck was completely level. I'll check them tomorrow and make sure they haven't bled down. I'll play with the pressure but I imagine 10-15 psi with no load is where I'll run them, around 50 with the trailer on. The next pic shows where I mounted the schrader valves. I thought of using a T and hooking them together but I think having them separate will decrease body roll more. Downside is if I loose a bag I'll be lop sided....we'll see how it goes. Now if my dealer would call and tell me my trailer's ready I could go try them out

Outstanding! Did you have to drill at all? I can't tell on the top. Since mine is a half-ton, I had to do some drilling on the frame. I ended up mounting the schrader valves right next to the license plate frame. Congrats.

Looks good! Do you have any plans for installing a set of the inner wheel well liners? I bought a set when I first bought my Ram and it made a difference as far as it looking more finished. But that's just my perspective. What brand of airbags did you wind up going with...are those the Firestones?

Put a set on my 04 2500 HD Chevy also, makes a Big differance in towing.. Love them, mine is a Firestone brand, No drilling with the Chevy ones eather, I beleave if you have a Ford you have to drill, but not to much

p.s. your goin to find out even with the Lowest air presser ( 5lbs) your going to sit High in the rear.. and you have to keep at least that in them at all times,

picked up the camper from Dodd today. These air bags are AWESOME!!!. At 50psi the truck sat almost level. The ride is phenomenal, no bouncing, swaying or pushing. I estimate my pin weight to be 1700-2000lbs, 60 psi would probably set me perfectly level but the camper is already a little nose high at 50 psi. Unfortunately 4x4 Dodge trucks sit so flippin' high I already have my hitch as low as I can while still keeping a safe distance between the trailer and my bed sides. Overall, I'm a very happy camper

Help me understand why you are using air bags. Why not rely on the WD hitch? It seems to me that by using air bags, you may get the back end of your truck back to height (with load) but you are putting all of the stress on the truck. The WD hitch would accomplish the same thing, I would think, but distributes some of the weight back to the trailer; putting less of the overall burden on the tow vehicle.

Oops, sorry. I see these are 5th wheel applications. Even so, I'd like to know the benefit. It won't really increase the capability of your truck; just will stiffen it I would think? Curious . . . .

The top overload springs and rear sway bar on a Dodge 3/4 ton are an option mine doesn't have. The softer suspension made rear end sag and the trailer bounce quite a bit. The air bags keep the truck level(headlights out of the trees), put that firmness back into the suspension plus eliminated most all of the sway felt in the back of the truck (not trailer sway)

Love my AirBags. They make a world of difference in ride quality both loaded and unloaded. I run 10-15 PSI when empty and that's just enough to get me up off the factory springs. Much smoother.

I've been playing with pressure unloaded. 15 was still a little stiff for these crappy SE Va roads. 10 seems pretty good.
