I really dont change that fast, just happen to be the right time for me to bump it up.
I had a 2004 Ram 5.9 CTD and I loved it, I got rid of it when I got rid of my fifth wheel, best truck I ever had, and what a big mistake that was. I agree with you 1005, I couldnt wait to get back to a diesel. I could not justify the diesel when I got my 2011 last year, I only pulled the boat once in a while, and I didnt have a camper anymore. Then, I got the camper...and a buddy of mine wanted to start a snoplowing busienss next year, with me, I have been in the businees before, so I decided to go ahead with that, and that gave me the nudge to get back into a bigger truck...and man, I cant wait to tow my TT down to flordia in April with that nice new CTD..
Im smiling already...

Its actually a Crew Cab..Basically same size room and doors as a mega cab, without the extra 6 inches of wasted space behind the back seat. Currently working on my audio installation plans...locating my amplifier mounting location is proving to be a little challenging. Id like to do it right under the center console, but Im not sure if it will get too hot under there or not becasue it is all enclosed. My next choice is behind the rear drivers side seat, on the back wall of the truck. I have some parts Im still waiting to come in, so I have some time to research this..

Congrats on the new truck! Looks great!

I recently moved up to my first diesel from a Hemi. (2011 1500 > 2012 3500) and I have had perma-grin ever since!

I have the mega cab and that little few feet in the back works great for the riders in the back to be able to recline the seat on long drives. Plus great place for storage.

As I stated before, very nice truck! I do have to correct you on one point; the Mega cab rear cab doors are much larger than crew cab, I know because I bought the rain drip shields for over the window on my Mega and they sent me ones for a crew cab and they were way too short. There is much more leg room and seat backs recline 30 degrees. We have two large dogs that travel with us and with the rear seats flat, they have plenty of room.
Please take no offense, just sharing info.

You'll love your new Dodge, I have a 2010 Ram 2500 Crew Cab Big Horn Package with Cummins Diesel, initially pulled a travel trailer behind a 2006 Dodge Durango with Hemi. It had enough power but was actually overloaded with the travel trailer we had and the Hemi only got around 6 mpg when towing and did not really feel too stabile-comfortable pulling with it. Behind the 2010 Ram hardly knew the trailer was hooked on lots of power and stability and got around 12-13 mpg towing the travel trailer.

We since have upgraded to a 40' fifth wheel and mileage runs from 9-11 mpg depending on pulling conditions, but I run speed limit or slightly above and it is REALLY STABILE, and pulls nicely. On hill grades North of Branson on 65 the biggest longest grade, speed went down to around 50 mph or just over, but diesel leveled off there and rpm hardly changed (from a truck driver friend appears the Cummins does that on big grades).

I also love the Jake Brakes, & I believe in the 2010 Ram 2500 and since they increased the brake size, and up the supension. I know it handles very well.

Plus in playing around you mpg will increase 2-4 mpg if you slow down and don't run like I do down the road (55-60 mph gets a lot better mpg than the 70 + mph).

Thanks for the correction top...I was just giving by what the dealer said...mine was parked next to a mega cab and the doors looked the same to me.

I like all kinds of music, usually country. I should be starting the system install soon...still looking for that perfect place for my amplifier. Today the line x liner is gong in, and the windows are getting tinted on Friday.

I love my return to a diesel. Right now driving around I'm getting. 16 mpg. Can't wait to see what I get towing..
