Is anyone using the relatively new L pin that has a retainer clip instead of the traditional cotter pin to hold it in place? I'm looking at getting a set of these and wonder how you like them.
Hope you'll let us know what you think of it. Is it better or worse than using a cotter pin to secure it? I'm thinking it will at least save me from dropping a cotter pin on the ground and being unable to find it. The info also says the new one allows the pin to ride higher above the spring bars, meaning less noise.
I have them. They are much easier to use than the old ones (had them too). They made me a little nervous at first because they don't look as secure as the old ones. Based on my experience over the Summer, however, my fears were unfounded.
I think there is less squeaking but I can't say for sure because I never paid much attention to it.
