New Ram Cummins tow vehicle

After much debate we finally bought a new 2016 Ram 2500 cummins. Our old truck, an 06 F250 had 235,000 miles and was starting to nickel and dime us to death. No major problems with the 6.0 it was just that everything was starting to wear out. I kept having that gut feeling that a major breakdown would occur at an inopportune time, not that there is a good time for a breakdown. It was a great truck for us and we certainly got our use out of it. We got one of the good 6.0's. We did look at the new Superduty, but found that they were somewhat pricey when compared to the Ram with the same features.

So far, I love the new truck and am averaging 17.7 MPG (hand calculated) mostly city and some highway. This one also has the 5th wheel prep package. The flip side is every time I open the door the new car smell of depreciation wafts out.

I can't wait to unleash this beast when we go camping in a few weeks.

Nice looking truck and congratulations!

Now have you checked out "Turbo Diesel Register. Com" This is a dedicated site for Cummins Turbo Diesel owners and their trucks. I have been a member since Nov 2007, when I purchased my 2008 Ram Cummins truck.

Oct 2015 I purchased a new Ram 3500 Diesel. Absolutely love the truck. I get 17 MPG in town. Towing my 10000lb fifth wheel I get 14.5 on the flat and about 13 on hills. Your going to love the truck. You may wish you bought a long bed if you ever plan on towing a 5th wheel. BUT, I will say, my long bed is a pain in a parking lot. !!

New Ram

Congrats on the new Ram you will love it, I have a 2012 3500 Limited and absolutely love the truck pulling my 5er. Best diesel truck on the market as far as I'm concerned.

That is a nice truck. I have a close friend with one, and I like his ALMOST as much as my 2008 F250 Powerstoke 6.4!
