New to 5th wheels

I have just purchased a Chaparral signature 327rlks and a 2015 Silverado double cab long bed 3/4 ton diesel and need help deciding whether to go with a fifth wheel hitch or goose-neck with adapter?

I am unable to physically remove and replace the fifth wheel hitch so am considering going with a gooseneck and adapter. Is this a reasonable alternative?

The Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection is likely your lightest option:

The B&W Companion hitch for its gooseneck installation comes out in 2 manageable pieces. I just set it down onto a furniture dolly and wheel it around. In fact, I need to yank mine out tonight for using my truck this weekend.

Other folks use hoists to engine lifts to get their fifth wheels in and out of their trucks.
