I agree! I can do both.

I had a 5.5 ft box on my F 150 never hit the cab

I have 6 3/4 ft box on my F250 and never hit the cab

I use a Reese Elite with underbed Pucks. Leaves the bed clear. I also have spray in bedliner. The cleanest install.

I believe the Dodge has the same Puck system as well. Highly recommended as well the sidewinder is the best option.

Please for us challenged and have older trucks let us know what you mean by a standard bed....... for 40 years a standard bed meant 8 foot bed (still does to me). A short bed was six feet.......
