New to me truck

Well some will say I have gone over to the dark side but I am now the proud owner of a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Outdoorsman 5.7 hemi 4x4 3.92 rear end. Yes it is a bit of a change from the Avalanche but I was looking for a Ford with max tow and couldn't find one. When this dealer made me an offer on the Avalanche I couldn't refuse I became a Dodge owner. If I can't camp right now I wan't to be ready for when I can and this has given me a bit of a pickup for now. I will post pictures as soon as I get some taken if anyone is interested "IF YOU CAN'T DODGE IT RAM IT" Old Guys

Dont knock the Dodge to soon. When you feel that Hemi Power you might get a smile.I had a Hemi and now own a Chevy with a 6.0 and i am 100% certain the Hemi would out pull this 6.0 hands down.Gas mileage sucks about the same but this 6.0 is a slugomatic with the 6 speed trans. And im not sure what you was looking at for a motor in the Ford but if it was gonna have the 5.4 Triton you would have been a very sad man.

If you feel you deserve a Dodge Ram, then I congratulate you. I own a very similar one and have nothing negative to say about it.

Hi there Mr. Bob. Boy i had forgotten about good old Nigel having a Dodge. Now how can anyone ever forget those good ol blokes. I have had the Dodge for about 2 weeks and have to say I am quite pleased with it so far. I am actually getting better mileage than I did with the Av. I hooked up the trailer to realign the hitch so I took if for a short ride into the countryside around here and appear to be getting as good and possibly even a bit better mileage under a load. It has a five speed with tow haul that seems to do the job quite well. Only time will tell but like the man said maybe I deserved a Dodge. By the way I was looking at the Ford 5.4 and I am quite surprised by the number of Ford owners that mention it was probably better that I avoided it so who knows. I don't want to knock anybody so lets just hope it works out or I may have to move to Portugal with Nigel. Old Guys P.S. Wait till George finds out.
