New to us tow vehicle

Wife and I, looked at a lot of Class As, Cs, and Super Cs as an upgrade from our Surveyor 302RL TT, but really didn't find anything we liked better that we could afford. So we decided to keep the Surveyor, and I traded my 2010 F-150 for a 2012 F-350 King Ranch. I was concerned the F-150 couldn't handle the Camper in mountainous trips, and long distance. I have the WD hitch the dealer (CW) installed Curt with friction anti-sway, wondering if I need to upgrade the hitch as well. Looking at the Anderson WD/ANTI-SWAY hitch, anyone have that hitch, or any info good or bad on it, or recommendations on which hitch would work best. Surveyor is 30 ft. A proxy 6400 lbs GW

Love the Andersen. My 34' TT tows as good behind my 2500 Dodge Ram diesel as my 37' 5er. NO sway, period. Agree, it's lighter, but the Andersen is beautiful. Doesn't really transfer a lot of weight back on the front, but the front doesn't raise that much anyway. The weight transfer is what I read as the biggest complaint about the Andersen, which doesn't seem to be an issue with heavy truck. Highly recommend. the Andersen is so much lighter and easier to use. Not knocking the others and with a lighter TV the Andersen my not work as well.

I use the Anderson with my current setup, F150 and a Roo 233s and love it. But I've never used anything else so I can't really compare. I just know that it's easy to hook and unhook, anti-sway is awesome, and it's light at around 60 lbs.

Nice truck, you will love towing with it. As for the hitch, typically under 26' is recommended for friction seay bars and over 26' should have integrated away control. The 4 point equal-I-zer is well liked. I had the Reese dual cam for my old tt (30' and 7300 lbs loaded) it worked well.

That's a nice looking truck. I have a Rockwood 8311WS I think it weighs about 7500 pounds dry and is about 31 to 34ft long. I only pulled the trailer twice and I'm using the Anderson hitch, so far I've been happy but I haven't been pulling in any wind. Some of the best things about it that I've noticed are. 1 easy to hook up 2 very quiet 3 no grease... My TV is a 2500HD.

I bought a new Equalizer 4 point with sway control last year to tow a friends TT. His TT just a little heavier and the 1000/10,000 worked fantastic. I tried an Anderson and liked the weight ~~~ but the Equalizer tows smoother IMO.

Thanks ! Hoping for a bit more stable ride! Wife a little jumpy riding with me pulling it with my F-150, and wouldn't even attempt to drive it, I mean she's even driven log trucks before. Sooooo we'll see !
