Talking New Tow Vehicle

About a month ago I asked you guys if there was any reason I shouldn’t get a 3500 Denali Diesel Dually.
No one had a good reason, until I stopped by the dealer & found out my payments would be double my mortgage payment.

Last weekend I swung by the local Chevy dealer & they had a 2011 Silverado 2500HD Duramax extended cab on the lot. Only 1.2 miles on the odometer!
MSRP was $48,825.
After about 2.5 hrs of cat & mouse we shock on $40K & two dealer teeshirts, with my trade of a 97 Dodge 2500 V10.
It doesn’t have the leather, air conditioned seats but can’t miss what I never had.

After one week of braking her in I’m getting 22 mpg on the turnpike & a combined 17 mpg. With the Dodge V10 gasser I was getting 5.2 mpg when towing the hills of the Poconos. Just passed 500 miles pulling into my driveway just now.

Just picked it up from having the bed liner sprayed in. Next Fri they put the hitch in the bed & then I really get to see how she handles as we head out for the first trip of the year!

Just like last year when getting the new 5er I can hardly sit still!!
Life just got a whole lot sweeter!!

Congratulations! You're gonna' love it. I've got around 11K on mine now and am still amazed at the power and this is my 3rd Duramax. You'll really like the exhaust brake too.

Hi guy, I have the same thing in a 2007 Classic...get 10 to 12MPG depending on how I drive it. The trailer weighs roughly 7,000. LOVE the power!
Enjoy you truck!
