New truck just got its tonneau cover, still waiting on the bed liner that was supposed to be delivered today.

Great for having the new truck! I'm still finding new gadgets and neat stuff almost every week. I got the 200 amp alternator on mine, and the trailer tow connection does charge the trailer battery whenever the engine is running. I believe it has a 40 amp fuse protecting it , and a relay, as do all of the trailer turn signal and marker lights, and so on. If you think you might want to put a camera on the back of your trailer, the back up light connection DOES work. The bed liner is always nice, but they do tend to allow some things to slide around. You can order a Rhino Liner type from the factory. However, I opted to have a color keyed one installed (my truck is white) by a local body shop, and it has been excellent. Stuff stays where you put it. The factory back up camera is concealed in the tail gate handle, by the way. A few months after we took delivery of the new truck, we traded the fifth wheel in on a Class C. Go figure.

If the truck is equipped with the Ford brake controller, the truck will keep up with trailer tow mileage in the dash display. It took us 4,000 miles towing before I found and learned how to use it.

This bed liner is two parts, plastic for the walls and rubber for the floor so things won't slide.

Finally went out this morning ( pouring rain) to get some tools I left in the back of my truck. Here's the bed liner and everything was high and dry tonneau kept all the rain out overnight. Liner is a Dual Liner sides are plastic and bottom is rubber about a 1/2 inch thick so the aluminum bed should be safe.

Mark, I must have missed something in this thread. Your title, 2016 F250 which I have does not have an aluminum bed.

The box is still steel, and perhaps the front fenders. F150s have had aluminum hoods since 1997 by the way. My 2016 F250 is all steel however.

Even better to me I'd rather have the steel.

The bed in the 16 is galvanized steel. If I had waited another year, I'd have the aluminum bed with all the new bling on the 2017. Oh well, odometer turned 10k last week. Heading to Blairsville Georgia Saturday to pickup a love seat.

X2. I bought the 16 as well. Never buy first year of a new model. Give them a chance to fix the mistakes

Over on our sister forum, user “dtibbals” had that very thing happen to him. He went to a car wash that was not touchless, and the car wash literally caught his antenna and ripped it off the truck. Would this have happened on a steel pickup truck? Probably not in the same way.
