so far no luck finding a new reg cab xl long box with the eco boost... found a '11 4x4 for 25k with a normal v-6 but it seems the eco boosts are going into super cabs and crew cabs...

Also the 4 door regular cab is discontinued after 2008.. "access doors" they were called

anyone here have just a regular cab with the eco boost?
I have a feeling.. you ...would have to order a 2012 reg cab.. long box with a eco boost..

That $6000 including the air bag?
Generally if the air bags pop they write off the vehicel since the bags are close to 4 G's themselves.

Glad your ok.
What was the other vehicle like.

The Stuff... Get on the 2012 Ford F150 towing spec site... if.. you get a 4x2(reg. cab) with Max Towing pkg and.. Max payload pkg .. with a 3.73 rear end.. gvwr= #8,200lbs.. towing= # 11,300 lbs.. payload = #3,000 lbs that should be with 8 ft box that you want.. Just for grins see if a dealer can do a" search" for the exact Truck that you want. I doubt that you will find a 2011 model .. but... good luck anyway...

Would Have the Max Payload included.. Order the XL "work pkg" (power door locks, power windows ) Also make sure the Max tow pkg is ordered...you can get that truck for $30k.. or less .. not bad .. payload is 2,650 lbs .. towing 11,300 lbs.. conventional or 5th wheel..trailer

As promised here are some pictures of my 2012 F150 Lariat Supercrew Ecoboost, Max tow, two tone, bed extender, tailgate step, Backup camera.

I have done the following mods:
Replaced front license plate holder with standard bumper pads.
Added center grill in bumper (to fill ecoboost "hole").
Added Amp Research BedStep2 on each side (Ford does not offer bed steps on 5.5' bed).
Added BAK BakFlip F1 bed cover.
Added Dee Zee EZ Down to tailgate (for safty and cool factor).
Added McGard tailgate lock.
Added smoked license plate cover.
Added "Ford" lighted hitch cover.

Any questions please ask.

Very nice Bean. I really like that brown and that's first I've seen 2 tone and it looks great.

So the EZ down is some kind of struts for the tail gate?

Bean, nice! Now get some 30lb fishing line and "saw" those Ecoboost badges off of the doors (like flossing your teeth). A little GooGone on the remaining adhesive.

Why the tailgate lock? The Ford lock insufficient?

Bean - that's a nice looking truck.

The F1 flipback is a nice addition to the truck. I have one on my F150.

We had a heck of a time finding an FX 4 with the max tow package.

bean, my buddy with an EcoBeast wanted to put a screen in front of that "ecoboost" hole to keep the grasshoppers out of the rad, but was told that putting anything in that hole would void the warranty. Did you get clearance from the dealer to do that?

It seems stupid, as a rad plugged with grasshoppers is far worse that putting a lousy screen in front of it.

I have a grill for that stupid ecoboost hole -- the Ford Taurus with the ecoboost has a 'grill' over the intercooler. Wonder why they didn't include that on the F150?

Can't wait to get that silly hole plugged -- bet that feature comes out in future F150's. A silly screen? That won't effect the mechanicals.
