IMO space in an extended cab is limited. A tall person will not fit. Smaller adults are OK for shorter distances. Works for our dogs though!

I have a 2010 XLT, Super cab ..Adults can sit back there no problem... But... for how long ?? an hour or 2 at a time or less...OK..We seldom if ever have any one else in the back except for the dog a (pomeranian) and a cooler with soda, water, iced tea, jackets ,etc.. My thoughts are... do you want a truck WITHOUT power windows and power door locks ?? That.. can be a real pain at times unless you have very looooong arms to reach the passeger door ???

I ended up ordering:
2012 F150 4x4 Lariat
Super Crew
5.5 foot bed
Ecoboost engine
Max tow package
Lariat plus package (for the rear camera)
Golden bronze (two tone)

I picked her up last tuesday. I've only had her a couple days, but I already love it.
I'll try to get a couple pictures today or tomorrow.

Bean .. were you able to get the Max payload pkg ?? I had recently talked with a dealer and found if you order that 2012 Supercrew with a 6.5 foot box it would have a payload of 2,300 lbs in a 4x4 or 2,650 lbs in a 4x2.. with a 3.73 limited slip axel.. that would be an XLT model.. Max payload would help some of us 5th wheel owners..

lol i still hate the tail lights :P maybe ill try building one again. i wanted a reg cab xl short box 4x4 with the eco boost but it dont seem to come up. now that ive been daily driving a 07 4door regular cab with a long box it doesnt seem that long..

also its a disadvantage but the 2x4 is rated for more towing for some reason..

Ended up trading in the 2004 Titan and a 5 year old base model mustang.

Smart move,I love my F-150!

I love my beast!

I've had the Eco-Beast since March and the Roo since August. So far, my mileage has averaged on the low side of the EPA estimates. I attribute it to the fact that my daily commute is only 12 miles round-trip. If I drive long enough for it to warm up, it gets around 18 in town and 22+ on the highway. Towing the Roo is a different story, 11 is the best I've done so far, and that was with 93 octane. It does seem that no matter which direction I'm headed when towing, I've had a headwind, and the mileage is greatly affected by that. On our last trip, we had a 20 mile stretch that was with the wind and the mileage jumped up to 14. With that said, I absolutely LOVE the truck and wouldn't trade it for anything, except another Eco.

BTW its a 2wd XLT SuperCrew w/3.55 rear-end and a 9800 lb. tow rating. I didn't get max-tow because I didn't need it and I don't like the donkey ear side mirrors. I got Cipa slide-on tow mirrors that practically look like OEM when they're on.

Don't forget to get the integrated brake controller... its awesome!

No, I would have had to get the 6.5' bed to get the max payload package. I didn't want a truck that long. But you are right, if you have a 5th wheel you would want the bigger bed anyway.

Congrats! What are the specifics?

4-6 weeks? Someone posted on another forum they have to wait 17 weeks Maybe their dealer used the wrong priority.

I could tell by the sound in your voice that you would have a new truck by year end! Now you just gotta let me know how this thing works when you get it. Is your trailer away for the winter?

Congrats!

The factory LT's are 50 psi Load Rating C; not the E rated 80 psi. But that should be sufficient. I've been towing with regular P metric tires for years with no real issues. It will be interesting to see if these tires make a difference; although there are other differences between the '05 and the '12 that might make that tough to figure out; e.g. payload capacity increase, anti-sway, etc.
