Do the charts go back as far as 2000? I would like to find out what my Ford F250 super duty with an 8 foot bed 4X4, and a 7.3 L diesel is rated for pulling.

How did you do that chart? I was trying to figure that out!

The 7.3 TD engine only comes equipped with a 3.73:1 axle. All F-250 7.3 TD models will also give you 10,000 pounds of conventional hauling capacity if you have manual or automatic. If you are doing fifth-wheel towing with a manual transmission, they are as follows: 14,000 pounds for the two-wheel drive, 13,500 pounds for the four-wheel drive, 13,600 pounds for the Super Cab two-wheel drive, 13,200 pounds for the four-wheel drive Super Cab, 13,300 pounds for the two-wheel Crew Cab and 12,900 pounds for the four-wheel drive Crew Cab. The automatic transmission 7.3 TD hauls 14,000 pounds for the two-wheel drive, 13,500 pounds for the four-wheel drive, 13,700 pounds for the Super Cab two-wheel drive, 13,200 pounds for the four-wheel drive Super Cab, 13,400 pounds for the two-wheel Crew Cab and 13,400 pounds for the four-wheel drive Crew Cab

Yep, Max tow is required and it does give you the upgraded bumper. Don't really need it since I'm only pulling about 9000 on a 5er. Ford should just put max tow on all 3.73 rears

If you have Windows 7, click on the start menu, click on the snipping tool, hold the left mouse button and highlight the area on the screen you want to copy, save that as a jpeg and you're all set.

Hob - go to https://www.fleet.ford.com/showroom/...ng/default.asp.

Unfortunately Ford only keeps the last 10 years of trucks in the tow section.
However, the 99-2002 F250/350 with the 7.3L were all basically the same.

Assuming you are a Standard cab, 4x4, it is 12,500 lbs off the hitch (with load distribution) and 13,400 for a 5er.

Bit the bullet and closed the deal on a 2011 leftover. Will pick it up on Saturday and will post a picture. Got the SuperCrew 4X4 rated at 9600 pound tow capacity.

Gross Vehicle Weight is 7,700; 500 pounds more than normal because of the Max Tow. Payload goes up about 350 pounds. So, there must be about 150 pounds of additional weight in the vehicle.

Yes, Race Red. I ordered a 2012 because I wanted the 36 gallon tank.

Just arrived at the Chula Vista after a 120 mile trip in the Ecoboost pulling our ~8700 lb 5er up and down the steep hills of southern CA. It down shifted a number of times going up the hills (and down some too) to get to the peak torque at 2500 RPM, but never lost speed due to lack of power. Thumbs up to Ford.

Ego Boost

Here is a better shot; looks better in the sunshine though. The rear step is by Amp Research; it obviously folds up tight against the truck but thought you might like to see what it looks like deployed. I like this solution vs the Ford tailgate step because I can use it with the tailgate shut; like when we are towing.

If you are on the fence about Max Tow, here is something to consider. I've discovered that the wide mirrors are a pain in the butt getting in the garage and also in parking lots getting between the cars . . .
