Someone told me I should get higher than Load Rating C, but in this size C is the only option.

If Carlisle makes your size I would recommend them. Look at the manufacture date on the tire and insist on tires made this year. Mine have 30,000 miles on them and are 2 years old. They are 15". Have had no problems. They look almost new. Keep them aired to the number on the sidewall, regardless of the load.

imo if you have 'c', look very hard to get a 'D'.

I highly recommend getting tire/wheel shipped from www.etrailer.com. I've used etrailer many times over the years, twice for tires/wheels. They come mounted and balanced, ready to mount. All 5 tires (spare inc.) currently on my hybrid are from etrailer.

And yes, they have B, C, and D rated tires in that size, the C's in a range of wheel colors.

Kumho 857 or Hankook RA08 is the ONLY way to go; both true load range D, 8 ply, 99 mph rated and carry 2100* each. Busdepot.com is best source for the Hankooks.

I picked up some Taskmaster in 215-75/14 to replace the 205-75/14 that my trailer came with. They are D rated and according to etrailer.com they are also rated to 81 mph. My trailer came with bias ply and these are radial tires, seem to tow better.

Just got back from a 12, 780 mi. trip. SW PA to Alaska and back to PA

on Maxxis 8008 ST. No issues at all. I haven't checked the tread wear yet.

Stay tuned.
