New truck same hitch
OK my Forest River Forums me I updated my truck from 2011 Ford to 2016 Nissan XD titan diesel I had a flip my hips around and lower it I'm only off by 2 inches instead of the normal inch and when I put the hitch on the truck install the weight distribution bars on the before front measures 39 1/2 rears at 42 after installation with the weight distribution bars my front is at 39 3/4 which is only a quarter inch off in arrears at 40 3/4 I included pictures of the trailer is only a a bit out of level thoughts and my close enough maybe something I'm missing the balls out of 6° angle down like it should be the only way to get the ball within an inch is to get a new shake and lowered a little bit

If that is a six inch level in the picture you quite far out of level I'm assuming to the front. From the pic it looks like you could lower the ball and bring the trailer to level and then adjust the bars.
Measure the height the end of the level is off the floor X2 will give you the change per foot X distance from end of level to the coupler, assuming the level is in about the center of the trailer.

I went back and looked at the pic you are correct I was looking at it wrong, might be you need to buy a stinger with more drop. Myself I like my rig as close to level as I can make it.

I am confused, is the hitch not high or low enough?
Whatever the issue just flip the hitch around, you have plenty of adjustment from the pics I am seeing.

Let me clarify when camper was level my measurement to the top of the coupling was 20 inches when I lowered my hitch all the way down the top of my ball was 22 inches that gave me 1 inch more than I needed according to the instructions after I put it on the truck to see how it would be the camper was only 2.1 inches over the whole 35 foot out of level .the front was only a quarter inch higher and the rear was two inches lower than my initial measurements after the Weight distribution bars were installed

I have a similar issue now that I recently upgraded to a new F-250. The F-150's receiver was a bit high for using the standard shank that came with my Equal-i-zer hitch and my TT has a bottom-mounted coupler. I have the hitch head in the lowest position on the standard shank. With the F-250, the hitch ball sits even higher so I've ordered a new shank with more drop to get the TT as close to perfectly level as I can.

Can't you take a link out of the chains to reduce the tension on the bars or does that drop your bed too low and point your nose up?

I tried to read Clancy's 8-line run-on sentence and just gave up. Sorry.

If a new shank is not in the cards give it a pull and see how it does, try dropping a link in the bars will cause the truck to squat a little but worth a try. Let us know what the final outcome is.
