New Vengeance (need hitch recommendations)

Hi I'm new to the camping world and bought a 42' toy hauler by vengeance while I was in Sturgis this year. I had already bought a 2013 ford 1 ton which is set up for a fifth wheel attachment already. My question is which brand of 5th wheel hitch will work with this factory pre set up. I would like one that I can just take out of the bed when I'm not using it.
Thank you so much for your help!!
Kim

Welcome Kim. I don't know the answer to your question but I'm sure the fine people here can help.

FYI - I moved the thread to a better spot to get answers with regards to the hitch and clarified the title a bit. I wish you the best and welcome aboard!

Each owner will say their hitch is the best and I'm no exception. I have found that my fellow B&W owners and I all seem to be rabid fan boys of their stuff.

Hello,

I believe the Ford is setup for the Reese Elite Systems that installs with Pucks. This is a under bed frame system with 4 oblong mounting holes. I installed the whole Reese hitch system and am very happy with this.

I was mis-informed by the so called "truck Guy" at the dealership.
I'm thankful that there is so much knowledge and experience on forums.
I tried to add the prep package but the truck is slated to build soon.

X2 they are very nice hitches and only have 1 J hook jaw and are less prone to chucking VS the dual jaw type (this from my local hitch experts Lampert Hitch).

When adjusting the hitch to your bed turn the nuts 1/2 turn at a time. When you see the hitch you will know what I mean.

I found mine used on CL for a very reasonable price!

BTW the Signature series works as well.

Good Luck!

I 3rd the b & w. Plus I thought they were the main one that had oe hitches for factory mounting.

I installed another b&w turn over ball hitch on a 2013 chevy that was in a wreck- needless to say im still a huge fan. Pretty much only reason for relacement was liability and the chain u bolts bent. On the plus side I have another hitch in my stash for my next d-max!

Thanks for all the replies. I wanted to go with a B & W hitch but I don't think it will work with the set up I have on the truck. Can it be made to work or should I just go with the Reese?

B&W does make one for the Ford under bed mount. They are hard to find but you can order one.

Companion

I still think the single jaw of the Reese is a better design and safer. JMO
