No experience yet..waiting for new trailer, BUT here's what I decided through research and much thought
:
Check out "Compatibility of a Reese Revolution Pin Box With a SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch" on etrailer.com (

We have an 8289ws ordered for delivery in May..I have an '05 GMC 1500HD CC Quadrasteer w/6.5' bed. I thought about using the Superglide 15K for Industry Standard rails, but decided to go with a conventional hitch with slider (in case I need to pull a trailer with a regular pinbox instead of the Sidewinder, and also for resale value).
The post on etrailer states that Reese doesn't recommend using the Superglide because of possible interference w/ the bed when it slides back during turns, although I think their answer more likely addresses the aftermarket Sidewinder which hangs down lower because it bolts to the original pinbox bracket as opposed to a Sidewinder that is factory installed. With the Sidewinder and a conventional hitch, the pinbox extension will stay pointed straight to the rear, so I can pack stuff on either side of the hitch and directly behind it-with the Superglide you need to keep those areas somewhat clear because of the hitch moving back and on either side when you turn.
I decided to go with the Reese 20K 30084 w/slider because I wanted a hitch with a single hook jaw. It's rated for twice the load of the 8289ws, but I'd rather have too much hitch than not enough
For what it's worth...
