Check out this post about a recent adventure I had towing a new 2104S with my Frontier crew cab. The trailer has a dry weight of about 4150 pounds, which is well under the 6300 pd towing limitation.

BUT!!!

Search this forum and you'll see tons of info concerning a truck's real towing limitation. The biggest concern is exceeding the combined gross vehicle weight of your Nissan. Dry weights can be very misguiding concerning your TV's ability to pull. Frontal area and the TV's wheelbase are also factors.
I towed my trailer about 150 miles or so, mostly freeway, bringing it home from the dealer. I was as light as possible...just me, a tank of gas and a few bottles of water* in the truck and the only additions to the Rockwood were propane and a house battery. The truck performed fine, but I wouldn't want to use it on any major trips. Cargo loading is very limited and forget about anything in the tanks.

Fronty owner aswell and proud of it! I tow a 23LB (3750lbs, dry) and it handles and pull like a charm at speed limit. I got a well adjusted WDH, swaybar, brake control, extended mirrors and just install some Firestone air bags to smooth the ride and trust me it does, especially if you got off road package. As for MPG I get between 8-12mpg which I think is reasonable for pulling a wall...

It's my first year with the 23LB, for now the farthest I did was 300km but we are planning a trip down from Ontario to Florida next January!

Greatblue - towed a 2104s (4092 dry weight) about 6k miles my first year. It did the job and did it well about 75 percent of the time. But battling headwinds and summer heat in the plains of Oklahoma and Texas while heading to Colorado wore me out. Truck would run between 3 and 5k in these type of conditions and a/c would not keep us cool. I had an equalizer hitch installed so sway was never an issue. I traded in for a used F150 Ecoboost this year and could not be happier. I think if you only plan on making short trips around your local area the Nissan will do just fine. But as you have probably already read in this forum, you can never have too much truck. Good luck on your decision. You can always trade up to a bigger Tow vehicle later on if the Nissan doesn't cut it.

Okiecowboy - thanks for the advice. What size ecoboost do you have and how many miles were on your Ford when you bought it. I have been looking at cars.com today for an F150. We will be travelling many long trips over 900 miles and I want to go to Alaska, Wyoming and Oregon. Have visited 42 states and would like to see the rest.

Wow, you plan on traveling some miles! In that case , I could not recommend the Nissan. My F150 is a 2013 EB 3.5 liter. It had 33k miles on it, and I ended paying $33k for it. It is so much quieter and more comfortable than the Frontier, we love it. And the 36 gallon tank is sure nice. Since I wanted a used Ford, I don't know much about the 2.7 liter, as they were introduced in 2015. Probably a little better fuel economy and not quite as much power. Hope you enjoy all your travels. Sounds like some great times ahead.

I towed a Rockwood Mini Lite 2306 with my Frontier for a season. It was ok, but I upgraded to an Ecoboost f150, and the difference in feel is quite noticeable. I think the frontal area makes a bigger difference than the weight of the trailer. You feel the parachute effect more in the Frontier, in my opinion.
