Nissan wiring

I'm scheduled to pick up my Cherokee 29Z tomorrow. I finally make time to hook up the Prodigy P2 tonight. I have a 2006 Nissan Armada with a nice picture in the owner's manual showing where the plug with the little white tag saying "brake controller" is located. After checking all around under the dash, I could not locate the plug. I have two questions:

1. Does anybody have a Nissan Armada or Titan (same wiring) that could point me in the right direction for the plug? Now this is a used vehicle, so it's possible that the previous owner did something and I just can't recognize the plug.

and

2. Would it be an absolute no-no to tow this trailer about 25 miles without the controller? I can either go interstate belt-loop around town or use surface streets with too many lights to count.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You should find that connector as described & labeled tucked up under the dash to the left of the steering column (as you would face it seated). It really is there, at least on my '07 Titan.

Found It!

Thanks to both of you. I was looking at different trailer shops when MrT posted. I went back up in there this morning, and sure enough it was tucked right up against the cowling as you described. Had a hard time getting my huge paws up there, and I wouldn't have looked there without your advice.
