You mean that there is such a thing as " real live actual police weight police" ?? I thought it was bad enough having the wannabe weight police on these forums, let alone the real thing !

You did nothing wrong, showing your new truck. It looks great. Too bad some troll took it in another direction.

Exactly. Congrats on the new truck. We bought ours a few months ago in prep for a 5th wheel next year. The TT we have now is nothing to this truck. After experiencing the difference between a 1 ton and a 1/2 ton I would recommend at least a 3/4 ton to anyone towing over 5000 lbs. Makes towing so much easier.

Great looking truck! I got a 2017 350 back in Jan and love it. The extra rear wheels really help

Nice looking truck. GO out and enjoy it with your RV - that's what they're for.

When you buy a boat they say buy all the HP you can afford. Towing/cargo capacity fits that bill with your TV. You'll never regret that F350.

Very nice! I love my 2016 F-350, DRW, FX4, king ranch. I bought mine in April 2016 and finally broke the 12K miles mark last month.
The only complaint I have is that I should have ordered it with 3.31 gears instead of the 3.73's, I'm lucky to get 16 mpg (highway) empty, and 11 with my 5er. My 250 was getting close to 20 mpg (highway) empty.
Enjoy your travels and time with the family, there's lots to see and do in this great country.

I don't know where this came from but I have been running an excavation company for 20 years . day in and day out we haul 14,000 worth of equipment with 3/4 ton trucks we can legally haul an 18000 lb track hoe with a 1 ton duelly and a class b cdl according to Utah DOT . however , I do not recommend it , while the trucks engine and suspension can handle the load , it is very hard on the brakes . of course the laws are going to vary state to state . but saying you need a 450 to tow 5000 is just as crazy as saying you can haul 20000 with a f150 .

Congrats!! I'm about to turn 25,000 miles on mine. It is an amazing truck. Not perfect, there are a few things that could use improvement (seats, Sync 3, some minor tweaks here and there) but once you hook up and roll, it's all smiles. Thing is a beast, safe, and stable. I enjoy and look forward to towing. This is my second dually and I love it. It is also my daily driver.
Safe travels!

I'm going to get in the middle officer this...I have a titan XD Diesel 5.0 and a Surveyor 33lork 9800lbs. I go anywhere the FORDS go and still have a half tank of fuel. I too at 70mph and stop way short of any danger to my family. This is my preference just like you have yours if I need to move a house I'll give you Ford guy's a call. Fyi I tow in the NC and VA mountains almost every other weekend hope to see you at the top.
