We just picked up our new Puma yesterday, a 25RS model, replacing the 19FS we used for over 7 years. I decided to get the weight bars for this one to pull with my 2003 Chevy Suburban. After getting all hooked up at the dealer with no problems, I noticed later that the car seemed to be making a lot of groaning noises, like parts were under tension like they have never been before. Is this normal?

to the forum.
Depending on the type of WD hitch you purchased, some are quite noisey like the equalizer. Some like the Blue Ox make no noise at all.

Are you sure the noises are coming from the Burb and not the hitch? As mentioned, they can pop and groan quite a bit. Situation normal for my Equal-i-zer (I'm adding pads this year to reduce the noise).

If it is the truck, than someone with a Suburban may help.

it would help if you told us what WDH you have.
i have the Equalizer and most WDH's are known to groan and creak. it's pretty normal.
