Odd problem with wiring on tow light

So I followed directions to the letter installing the wiring for my Blue Ox towing kit. Everything works except the driver's side blinker. I looked real close at the bulb as it was on blinker and saw half of the filament was solid on and half was blinking. From a distance it just looks like a solid light.

I'm thinking it could be the bulb buy I've never seen this before. Any ideas on what might be going on?

Swap drivers side/passenger side bulbs and test.

I'm hoping someone has seen this before. Otherwise I'll have to swap them and see. I'd rather not tear apart half the work I put in to install the wiring harness.

First make sure the bulb is good. Probably a two filament bulb, one for taillight and one for stop/turn.
If the stop/turn filament is dim and taillight filament is bright one possibility may be a bad ground. Light may be working through the taillight filament to ground (can get a dim blinking light). Check the ground with a test light or run a temporary jumper wire to ground. Another possibility is stop/turn and taillight wires are reversed.

I'd guess bad ground, somehow.

TX333 was very close, actually in a way correct. It was the bulb but not because it was bad it's the way it was installed by the supplier. They seated the bulb so that it appeared to be fully seated but it wasn't.

DRATS! TRIPPED UP BY THE RV SUPPLIERS AGAIN!😁

Thank you to everyone for your help. So if you ever see a situation where one filament is trying to do both running lights and directionals you've got a loose bulb. Im my case I could see half the filament solid light and the other half blinking.

The bulb being loose had NO ground. The electricity found a path to ground through the other filament circuit.
