I just recently passed on a 2007 Dodge 2500 5.9 with 15k miles on it. Dealer was asking 32K. It was in fantastic shape, flame red, sports package, quad cab.. Too bad it was a 6 speed not an automatic.

How did you come up with numbers ? what was the mileage or mpg on the gas rig ? and the mpg on the diesel rig.?

FYI
my best friend has a 6.0 ford with over 750,000 this thing still runs around like its britches are on fire !!

I would have been all over that IF I could have found one like it. I actually prefer the 6 speed, you cannot blow them up like the auto's. I saw plenty in that year with over 100K on the clock at the same asking price.

You should have done a better search and we all know you get what you pay for.

sometimes 30 minutes to 1hour is all the difference between a good spot and the spot by the shower house/dumpster. just saying.

Well put jeep - I come from a long line of Chevy owners and had a couple myself, a 53, a 57, a 58, a 63 that was used as a "winter car" when I put the 57 in storage for the winter all used.

Brought a 67 new, a 79 new and a 87 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up that I wish I still had.

I remember my father getting a brand new 1947 Chevy stake truck right after the war was over .

The Fords and Chevy diesels are more expensive to maintain than a gasser but the 5.9 Cummins is not.

Cuz the Cummins is parked by the side of the road all the time.

If they get used, you have to maintain them.

Yes, I have to maintain it, but it doesn't cost me any more than a gas motor to maintain.

I think we all need to stop throwing these claims around until and unless they can be backed up with solid data.

At this point, it's all about personal opinions and nothing else.

Just saying -
