57,000 mi. I bought it with 32,000 mi on it about a year and a half ago. I run it about 30 mi each way to work of which about 20 each way is highway. I'm pretty religious about maintenance on it too. Don't get me wrong, I love my truck and it tows beautifully. It's just a smoker.

All things equal in a truck, is it really worth it to pay an extra $7000+ for a diesel?

Yes! They have a lot more torque than a gasser.

But it doesn't add to towing capacity, make the truck ride better, look any better and gas engines are more than adequate for its intended purpose. If you have enough torque from a gasser, why would you want more? Just asking. I can't seem to justify the extra outlet of cash just for torque.

Why sure it is, with the mileage running from 14-19+mpg, they can get pay back on the extra $7000 in 300,000-400,000 miles and they get there 30 minutes to an hour faster.

You get most of the 7.000 back when you trade it in. Better fuel economy, towing there is no comparison, mine does not smell our smoke. This is my first deisel and will not be my last. Even my wife loves this truck.if you you're diesel is the way to go

This was our 1st truck ever. When we started looking, friends who had trucks, even gasseers, recommended a Diesel - because of the torque.

I had 4 gassers, and I now have my 1st deisel and I do not believe I will own another gasser (unless the ole' boy that bought my mud truck want's to sell it back to me).I will take torque over horsepower any day! Better for pulling, racing and or mudding.
