Not true. The new diesels have some sort of after burner that makes
them nearly odor free. (It also costs a tad of MPG to do that.)
My beef is with those knuckle heads who put on those huge exhaust
stacks, get a chip to de-tune the engine to make it smoke and then
remove all semblance of any kind of muffler.
The new stock diesels have very little odor- also due to low sulfur fuel
mandated now days.
I had a K1500 Blazer Detriot diesel way back in the late 80s. That puppy
would pull but it also smelled bad and smoked when I had my foot in it.

That's true, but they are not in the majority yet. The majority are still the older, stinky, noisy ones.

Yea your good. It's the kids who think it's funny at the stoplights, seems to be dodge that pushes out the smoke. Not sure why I don't see it in the ford or chevy's.

My Dodge pushes no smoke.........unless I want it to. Like when I'm sitting at a stop light listening to "tennis shoes in a dryer" music and some kid acts like we all want to hear it. I love it when they have the window down!

My Chevy will smoke like a chimney if I put my foot in it. I love seeing the black smoke trail. Dont do it that often, diesel aint cheap.

Yah, but it has nearly the same torque as my 87 6.9l pre hypermax turbo.
