I have an Equal-i-zer WDH that I use to tow my Roo 233S with my F250. This weekend I had some trouble getting into our site at the campground due to the fact that my truck does not turn on a dime. My question is does anybody out there disconnect their WDH before they back in to the site or does it stay on until you are in place. And would it help if I disconnect?

Depends on the hitch. Some disconnect the Reese Dual cam. but regardless, it won't make your truck turn any differently, that is the truck, not the hitch, (sorry, couldn't resist)

I also have an Equal-i-zer WDH with my Mini Lite 2109S. I back in still connected. Have not had any problems.

Used equilizer on both our ROO 23SS and our Rockwood 2604 and don't unhook the bars to back in.

I use the E2 and I have never removed the bars when backing up, not sure it would help as it cuts pretty tightly when backing up or turning.

i've never had to detach the weight bars, if that's what you're talking about.

maybe only if you needed to do an EXTREMELY tight turn, would taking them off be a good idea. and i mean a turn where you're way past 90 degrees.
