The new one is even quieter...which amazed me cos the last one was pretty quite for a Dirtymax.

It also drives and rides a little smoother but I think that's mainly the difference between 16 inch all-terrain tires and the 20's. New shocks help too I'm sure!

Still trying to figure out the whole infotainment system. Its the same model (LT) but the 2011 didn't have that.

But I DOOO love the backup camera being on that 8" inch screen vice the rear view!!!

The lights were the "icing on the cake"....I was like a little kid in a candy store last night when I told the DW I needed to go outside to "Op Check" all the lights!

Nice truck. Seems like dealers love adding the plow package ( lights on top). Certainly lets people know you are coming when in campground at night. One mod I recommend you add asap is a lower grille opening cover. Way too easy to damage the coolers with the open design. I added the one below 15min add on no drilling. Saved me already.

Thanks and yep the grill cover is on order with a few other things!!

Around here you hardly see the cab lights or the snow plow option on 2500's that are on the lots. Usually only the dually 3500's have them.

Might have something to do with our average annual snow fall of 1.4 inches!

Yep....I think it's a $55.00 option now. I was gonna order a truck with them when I found this one on the lot!

I have the GMC version of that, due to I couldn't find the Chevy version with a duramax in my area for whatever reason, though I'm very happy with the GMC

I don't have the plow package either, but for GM is a 385 option.

Nice! I had two GMC's before the last Cheby and was happy with them!

You are very correct on the pricing for the snow plow option!
I'm sure they had a whole bunch of Floridians wanting cab lights but not wanting the whole package so they have them as a separate option now!

Be careful if you turn on the bed lights, they also turn on LEDs in the mirrors that will blind you especially at night.

Nice truck and congrats..... I wish I could justify having the Duramax but mine sits too much between uses. I don't think those cab markers have been part of the plow package since about 2011 or so.

My 2015 GMC with 8700 miles is in the body shop right now, and the price of the parts for these trucks is out of sight. A little bump into a concrete light base on the front right at about 5 mph resulted in a $9200 estimate. The plastic headlight assembly alone (and mine is prior to the LED daytime running lights) is an $872 part by itself. Its outrageous.

Do you find the turn signals in the mirrors annoying at night?

Me to, I only use mine for towing the TT and baseball for my boy, other then that it sits in the garage 99% of the time.

Yes those LED's on the mirrors will blind some one lol, and yeah the turn signals in the mirrors are nice but bright, I got my windows tinted and it helped alot.

Thanks! Yea I can understand not wanting to spend the extra for the Duramax if its gonna sit. This is my daily driver and no moss has ever grown on any of my vehicles!

The mirror LEDs do seem to be about 3000 times brighter than those in the 2011 thats for sure!!! Hmmm....maybe some window tint on that part of the mirror???

Sorry to hear about yours, hopefully it won't be to much longer or pricier to get back. You are right about these new vehicles and getting them fixed.....probably cheaper to "total" one than it is to "dent" one!!!
