My equalizer system seems to be indestructable. I never leave it exposed to possible theft just because it costs so much to replace. I recommend the plastic bar dampers and greasing around the bar connections, wear gloves though, it can get everywhere

I am! Winter tent camping with my son's boy scout troop on mount spokane. Hike in, set up tent, freeze and hike out.

Ford ~ at least the newer versions ~~ when the key is off there is no battery connection to the camper!

Some things never change, we did the same 50 years ago, freezing our butts off here in Ontario!

The only thing that kept us warm were these, , oh, and talking about the mysteries of the fairer sex!

Good advice from all corners. I would advise disconnecting the TV from the TT and installing a good hitch lock on the ball receptacle of the TT. Anyone looking to steal your TT will need to have a TV with the same type of hitch, and will need to be able to defeat your ball hitch lock.

If you leave TT and TV connected while on the street, there are thieves clever enough to make off with both, chocks or no chocks.
