I never said Michigan was a bad state to live in. actually except for the winters, Michigan is one of the most beautiful states in the nation.
We have spring, summer, and fall.
We have the great lakes,
we have a state park system that is fabulous
we have nightlife
we don't have to board a helicopter to make it to an emergency room.
I live in a rural area and still have 100 or so restaurants that I can visit within a half hour,, probably 30 within 15 minutes.. Not many places in America can say the same. Some metropolitan areas are lucky to have 30 total.
Retirees are leaving in droves and I can't blame them.
The current administration increased the retirees taxes 1 billion dollars so he could give it to his campaign donors...That tomfoolery took 1 billion dollars out of the Michigan economy.
It is simple ECON 101. if a person has no discretionary money to spend, He will buy nothing but the necessities. Don't try and get a businessman to understand that simple fact though.
Over the last ten years or so Michigan has gone from one of the top ten wealthiest states to one of the 20 poorest.
