Here in Springfield MA we paid $82 for a 2008 dodge durango and $498 for our 2015 cruise lite 195bh.

Looking at others I'd say we got it good.

In TN no personal property or income tax. I can't leave, LOL.

These taxes are insane. How do you keep living where you do? No such tax in Florida. Just nominal yearly tag tax and we enjoy all of the other State Parks when we travel. What a deal!

It is a balancing act. For some of us that live in high personal property tax states, our true property tax on our homes is very low…but boy do we make up for it on toys.

I used to live in TN, was even considering retiring there, but the Hall Income tax and the humidity kept me in the west. Then they did away with the Hall...
That's life...: but they still have that summer humidity. trink39:

License plates on my Silverado were $100.00 for TWO years.
Trailer plates are not that bad; except they add a stupid sticker that supports the parks and makes me mad since I never go to any state run parks.

But thankfully, we have no personal property tax.

In Idaho, no personal property tax on vehicles. Toad is a 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara...plates and fees are $65.00 for this year.

No personal property tax in DE. Or sales tax. You do pay .0375% of the net value of a vehicle at the time of purchase. Our property taxes are fairly low too, and the further south you go, the less they are.
