I cannot agree with that unless a person was to load all to 1 side or if one was to overload the truck and the air ride would bring it back to level.

To answer the question, the rear air assist removes most of the regular 3500 spring pack. The ride is not bad at all. In fact, my 3500 DRW with rear air assist rides better than the 3500 SRW it replaced. Always the same ride height, which is nice.
