Whow what a lazy dealer does he have no conscience, he just took money for a product where the DOT specs were wrong, he should at least do the leg work to get a new yellow sticker from F/R.
i agree! hope you don't have problems because that dealer is not going to be very helpful.

Both the yellow sticker and the GVWR sticker are wrong, and the GVWR is far more important. The yellow one is just for the owner's information.
Eventually, it would be good to get the GVWR sticker replaced, as you just never know when the DOT jackboots will pull you over, but I wouldn't be in any panic. When have you ever seen a camper being checked? And if they get pissy, they can simply weigh the unit.

I do agree that the dealer is a lazy slug, but isn't that the norm?
We were lucky enough to find a good, and honest, dealer. But we had to go through a half dozen bad ones first.
It would be best to get the sticker corrected just in case.... I have seen several trailers and campers pulled over & checked by law enforcement on the way up the mountain last time I went tent camping.

Got in touch with Service yesterday morning and was told they have to look into it...the guy told me that the dry weight is most likely correct...it may be the other sticker that is wrong. Guess Now all I can do is wait to hear back from them. Hopefully they send me some new stickers!

Lou, so I should go inflate the tires to the max pressure on the tire and not what's on the sticker?

You can NEVER go wrong using the max pressure on the tire.
Only if the tire is the wrong tire for the camper.

Get the sticker problem fixed after you max out your tires now.

Then:
Weigh your camper on a scale and use the correct pressure for your weight after you are SURE what that should be.

I would love to weigh my trailer Lou but no scales around me. All the ones I see on the main Highways are always closed.

Then pump up those tires and get on the phone to FR with your VIN.

Check out your local landfill, grain storage, quarry, etc......any place that would have to weigh trucks. Many of these places will weigh free or with a small charge.

Using the address in your avatar, there is a CAT scale 6 miles from you at I-291 & I-90 Exit 6
Springfield, MA 01104

This is a great post that shows that some need to be better shopers, more informed prior to purchase. I took 17 months, 7 RV books, Excapees boot camp, emails back and forth with boot camp staff, lots of hours on forums regarding RVs etc. prior to paying $28,875 for a V-Cross fiver. To me that is a lot of money and I would never spend that much for something unless I did know more then the sales staff prior to purchase. What about the PDI walk through, you would think that would had come up then?
