Nah.....no money left......spent it all getting the rig on the ferry. Seriously...how much was it? In planning trips, is there a "ferry" guide one can find to tell us which ferry's are big enough to hold larger rigs?

You definitely want to reserve your spot in advance. Just call up and book it. Have the length of the rig ready. I'm at 50' 4" and cost 79 bucks one way, 140 round trip. Well worth it to me. The kids thought it was unbelievable.
Oh yeah, no rig is too large. On our way back they loaded on behind us one of those 10 axle monster cranes plus a couple more r/v'ers.

new here, here's 3 pictures that sum up pretty well how expensive my summer has been. (but the family is happy now)

previous rig - wife complained about it being too small

New rig - " I told you my darn F150 couldn't tow this thing! "

End result - I'm a happy man now

Note that the last pic the hitch was not yet adjusted, I'd simply pulled the unit home with everything setup for the F150, it sits nice and level now.

Funny enough- taking my camper on the Cape May/Lewes ferry is on my bucket list of things to do. I tried setting trips up this year for us to go from Delaware Seashore park to Cape May Courthouse, but they fell through.

Here is a pic of our new Prime Time 327RES behind the Ford. The TT is almost 37 feet long and weighs close to 9000 pounds loaded. Our first trip was the day after we took delivery, luckily everything started, stopped, and towed properly. I did have to add some pressure to the load bars before the return trip but that settled things down nicely.

The 327RES is a sweet camper and we are really lucky to have it.

Happy Camping!
