Is your rear suspension stock ... i.e. bags, helper springs? Does it have the camper option (additional short spring)?
The truck has the stock 10,000 lb gvw package and has a set of timbrens just for added safety. The trailer just before this was a 36' blue ridge 5ver and we lived in it for a year so it was very heavy when we traveled and the truck and suspension were just fine. I have had this combination loaded with a heritage in the bed, and a 2010 rd glide and a Yamaha dresser in the trailer and we have virtually no suspension issues. I don't think you will have any problems. I have an Anderson hitch if you look closely in the pics and contrary to what others feel, I have no problems feeling that it loads the front axle when adjusted per directions. Your truck looks beautiful I think you will be extremely pleased. If I was going to go bigger than the F250 I would go ahead and make the jump to a dually. Hope you enjoy yours.

Thanks for the reply and your setup looks great .... it is definitely more GVW with the initial trailer difference and both a RG and Yamaha than our setup with a single SG. I anticipate a much lighter hitch weight loaded with the SG, generator and water (100 gallon capacity) than unloaded. We had absolutely no sag when unloaded with our previous 2008 Hummer SUV with stock air ride.

The deal I received on this one and the retail offered on my trade was too damn good to pass up.

I take it that your happy with your F350 DRW pulling your Sandpiper ... that's a hell of a TT.
I haven't pulled with the new truck yet...going to next weekend weather permitting. It was pulled by a '10 6.4L 4x4 DRW prior to the 6.7L so I expect it to be better. The 6.4 had no trouble doing it, so I hope this is a breeze!!!

This is our 2013 GMC Savana 2500 and our 2011 Puma 30KFBDS. The van actually tows with significantly less drama than my old Sierra. We love our rig!!

Gasser, right? Anything special on the van? Towing packages, etc.?

I like the idea of a van with a TT.

Yep, its the Vortec 6.0 with the 6 speed and towing package. Other than the wheels and tint she's stock. It truly is a much better tow vehicle than my '07 GMC Sierra MAX, as theres less sway and generally much more solid overall.

This is us leaving the CG on our quick weekend to test out the new camper. I'm glad I got to tow it once with that truck to have something to compare the new truck with.

Wishing I was Back There

Here are two photos from the stack from last season. The first is at Waubonsie State Park and the second is at Arrowhead Pond in the Equestrian area. In both cases the camper is level (although it doesn't look like it). In the second photo I am technically not hooked up but I'm posting anyway.
