Hey there, Since the wind was blowing a gale and the weathermen predicting severe storms saturday night and sunday. We cut our trip short. The wind did help with the ACDS (Automatic Canvas Deployment System)

We have looked at Pilot Knoll and will plan a trip there soon.

Next week we are going to Mineral Wells State Park

Our first trip last September was to Hickory Creek, nice park although I wish we could get out on the peninsula. Almost 25 nights later we have trips to Lake Tawakoni, Cleburne, and Mineral Wells coming up, then Destin this summer. Pilot knoll is on the "to do" list. Longest trip to date has been Palo Duro and Caprocks Canyon over spring break. I'd say we have definitely been bitten by this RV'ing bug!

Our rig

Genny waiting on Pilot and Co-Pilot

For 2012 all running lights are now LED's, added 2 each side rear, stop/turn so maybe now someone will see me put on the brakes, lower clearance lights on sides now flash with turn signals day and night.

Pics of our new set up. DD#2 and I spent our first night of 2012 at Punderson SP in Ohio last weekend. Rain all day Sat. but weather cleared at around 2:00 am Sun.

90 sites open, but less than 20 in use.

Gave the heated mattresses and the furnace a real work out as temps dropped to 30 degrees. I was very comfortable.

Tested the stove with a batch of Jiffy Pop and tested the DVD player with "Ice Age". DD thought it was fitting due to the temps.

Turned the dinette into the bed for the movie. Cushion sizes are a little odd and uneven. Center cushions kept sliding off the dinette.

Only one mishap. the emergency brake cable got disconnected when getting ready to leave camp. Couldn't understand why camper wouldn't move but soon found the problem, reconnected it and was on my way.

I kept on marveling at the size of the 233s. It felt so spacious and I had no trouble finding places to store a couple large tubs of equipment and kitchen supplies in the cabinets. It will be so nice to no longer have to move a tub or a suitcase etc just to sit down.

Overall, I am very satisfied with our new Roo and I am counting the days until our next trip.
