yes, 5.7 hemi. I have no problem on flat earth... interesting with gear ratio. My wife and I were just looking at the trucar app and we can probably get a ram 3500 diesel 4x4 with only 110k miles for just 40k. Seems like a pretty good deal. We will probably put another 5-10k miles on our current truck and go with a used 1 ton. They are out there. Those diesel engines can get 400-600k miles before they need to be rebuilt. The o'l saying goes... "I've never heard anyone say they wanted a smaller truck". lol!!

We would love one but the Nissan Titan 5.6 with pro4x towing package offers plenty of power.
Check into getting a smaller gear ration on yours.

The infamous Castle Rocks strike again!
It isn't IF they will fail... it's WHEN!
Every photo I've seen, as well as mine, looked exactly like yours. Luckily I caught mine moving our 5th wheel around on our property.

I had the tow max tires but after running them for 1 year I went ahead and replaced them all before I had a problem. Better safe than sorry!

On the way home from reunion lake resort..
Reunion lake is exit 47 on I-12, well when we left I got onto I-12E headed home and I/4 of a mile from exit 57 on I-12E it sounded like I forgot something on the bumper of the truck that fell and I ran over it with the fifth wheel. Well it also sounded like I ran over a 2x4 with the fifth wheel but not the truck. The fifth wheel showed no sign of anything! I slowed from 72mph to like 65mph and I started seeing the smoke from the passenger side of the fifth wheel in the side view mirror and I’m like oh yea buddy! Slowed to 35 and stayed on the exit ramp 57, got out and investigated. One wire for an 110ac outlet was not ran in a steel box mounted under the slide so of course that was wrapped around the axle and some of the black liner that keeps the wood from getting wet was torn.
I called progressive and roadside was suppose to text me an ETA. After an hour of waiting I called back and they apologized and escalated for a supervisor to handle it. The supervisor called me back after five minutes and said it would be an additional 60 minutes as the roadside assistant named AGERO was coming from Baton Rouge! I got mad and said cancel it and googled an NTB and GOODYEAR. I chose to replace all 4 Incase they put the spare on and another tire decides to go. Goodyear was 2.8 miles away on I-12 but I had to go around backroads and that was 5.2 miles at 3-5 miles an hour. That took an eternity but made it to I think exit 58 pinnacle parkway in Covington which is were it took an additional 3 hours before they touched it! Boy did I have to make some serious u-turns to get into the Goodyear! One was in a residential neighborhood and the other in the parking lot of the Goodyear. Thank god I have plenty of power because I had to back it up a steep curb jackknifed.
I wanted to get LT tires by Michelin but of course non in stock! So I settled for Goodyear endurance st tires load range E. They told me that the sidewalls on the LT tires are softer than the ST which are standard trailer tires. They also said they put these new tires on a lot of horse trailers. These new endurance tires are apparently replacing the Goodyear marathons that were NON US made. These endurance tires are stamped US MADE so hopefully these will do better. I also went from 235/80/16 to 235/85/16 it is only 5 millimeters taller but it seems like it raised the fiver a lot. I also had them balance the wheels and it seems like they roll easier.
Surprisingly those castle rocks showed absolutely no dry rot or cracks at all never even curbed them once! The only thing I do is use the X blocks or what ever they are called and the levelors. So hopefully those didn’t break down the integrity. The inside layer of the tire looked like they tore across the thread and not with the thread, just looked weird. A good note to know was that I thought the rim was gonna be destroyed on the 5 mile trip but the rim was about an inch to two off the ground. It just kept slapping the torn rubber on the pavement which is why I could only drive 3-5 mph. The front axle was supporting all the weight at least most of it.

Wow, that is crazy.. I’m surprised there isn’t a lawsuit against the company? Sadly, I even make sure I check the tire pressure and keep them around 75psi were 80 is for max load.
Just sucks to have to deal with that on a Sunday when most places are closed!

Yep. When ours let loose coming home from KY the tread came off and the inner tire was intact.. I got lucky with just a few 100 in damage.
