Not any issues with brakes on either truck. The grades on the interstate are minimal compared to off-interstate. We have made that run at least a dozen times over the years.

Love to see another Jeep owner pulling a good size trailer! See signature for my set up. What WDH are you using? I use a blue ox. My only complaint is limited cargo weight plus short wheel base. Everything else is fine.

The biggest thing is not to drag the brakes. Start off about 10mph below the limit, downshift and let it coast. When you get to the speed limit use the brakes to slow down to 10 under. Then get off the brakes and let them cool off.

I was just going to edit my post with this suggestion. Also, check the gain on your brake controller to make sure the trailer brakes are being applied properly. Some built in brake controllers let you set how aggressively the trailer brakes are enabled. This is different from gain. Finally, here is a video that someone posted of the grade southbound on I-24 around Monteagle.

You will have an absolute blast there. So much to do! That's about an hour from us.

Cheers,

I like how the newer Grey Wolf's have black compartment doors and Grey entry doors. Looks much better, ours our white. They look out of place on the silver / gray trailer.
